Top Ten Tuesday: Book To Movie Adaptations I’d Love To See

tttHello, bookworms

Today I am going to do my very first Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and The Bookish), loads of book bloggers participate in this weekly meme, so I decided to hop on the train and join. This week’s top ten is: ‘Top Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I’m Looking Forward To or Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I Still Need To Watch’. But I am only going to list six movies, one of which exists already, two which are forthcoming, and three books I hope will be made into movies. Enjoy!

 Paper towns

Like you may or may not know (but probably do, it got loads of media attention) The book Paper Towns by John Green has been made into a movie! I haven’t seen it yet (duh), but from what I have heard and my opinion of The Fault In Our Stars movie, I think it might be overhyped. Still, I want to see it because I am curious if I am right.

The Knife Of Never Letting Go

The second I finished this book, I went onto the internet and stalked it. I visited all the fandoms, and have read all the fanfiction. Whilst doing this I found out they are going to make it into a movie (maybe). Somebody bought the film rights, then it got canceled, and now it is in a place somewhere in between. Basically nobody knows what is happening. But I have got my hopes set!

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda

THEY ARE MAKING THIS BOOK INTO A MOVIE, YEEEEEEEESS!!! This is one of my favorite books of all time, and I am so EXCITED! (so excited that I almost want to write this entire post in caps lock). It reached the news, or the book blogger community equivalent of news, a few weeks ago and was the main reason why I wanted to write this post.

Since You’ve Been Gone

I liked this book, but I think it will do even better as a movie, the feel-good summer vibes kind. There is really not much more to it than that

The Selection

This series is my guilty pleasure, I absolutely love (and hate) it! I think it could turn into a awful/amazing pre-teen movie, and I will make sure I will be the first to see it together with seventy-odd squealing twelve-year olds (and also I am very interested to see who they will cast as ridiculously hot prince).

The Rosie Project

I read this book, and even though it is more aimed at people like my mom than me, I enjoyed it. This book was originally written as screenplay, so I think a movie could turn out quite good.

This was my first Top Ten Tuesday (or six, in my case), I hope you enjoyed!

Which book are you hoping will be made into a movie?

Bye, Sophie

  1. Another great book that will be made into a film is ‘Ready player one’ (the same one you wrote an excellent review on). It will be directed by Spielberg and in my opinion should be erased first in VR on the oculus rift.
