My Ultimate Christmas Wish List

Hello bookworms,

Today I am going to put together my Ultimate Christmas Wish List book wise. I am going to list seven Christmassy stories that (in my opinion) go together perfectly as gift for this holiday season. Basically, this is just a big pretty please with a cherry on top for my parents, placed on the internet.

Let It Snow by John Green

This is the number one book I want to read on Christmas day, the premise sounds amazing: Three short love stories by a number of writers famous for writing romance, set in a winter wonderland? Sign me up!

The Hogwarts Library box set by JK Rowling

I know I already own this series on my e-reader, and I know it is thirty euros. But come on, it is a hardcover box set by JK Rowling set in the Harry Potter universe. Who wouldn’t want that?

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman

I have heard so many good things about this book, and I have very high expectations for it (especially since it is being compared to Ready Player One). From what I have heard it’s a pretty long and complicated book. Something I want to get into having loads of time on my hands, and can finish in one long three hour session. All in all, a perfect book for the holidays (and let’s just take a moment to admire the beauty that is the hardcover edition).

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Another Romance (yay)! This book is very hyped, and even though I didn’t like the Simon Snow excerpts in Fangirl, I did enjoy Eleanor and Park very much, making me want to give this book a chance. Also the I love the quote ‘The worst chosen one ever chosen’, what reminds me of The Rest Of Us Just Live Here, which premise I liked, but sadly didn’t live up to the story.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Yeah, I know I listed two books, but I really want to dig into a good fantasy series, and the blurbs of both of these sound great, making me not able to choose.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

Yes, you misread the title, I meant Between Shades of Gray. From what I’ve heard this is a very sad book, nonetheless, I want to read it. And (this may sound kinda weird) it seems more of a winter than a summer book, making the Holidays a good time to start it.

Rebelle Belle by Rachel Hawkins

This book has a pink cover, and I expect there to be a very pink story inside (metaphorically, that is). And I can imagine after reading Between Shades of Gray I will be in the need for a pink story, actually, I am always in the need for a pink story.

Unbecoming by Jenny Downham

I saw this book laying in my local and only English bookstore, and was instantly sold. The cover is gorgeous and the premise fantastic. I don’t know much about this story and author, but either way I am excited to read it.

Oof, this list turned out to be way more serious than I intended it to be (‘The Book of Nutella’ didn’t make the cut), once I started listing books, I could hardly stop! So, mum and dad, let’s just say that after all this I will be very disappointed if I’ll be gifted socks.

Bye, Sophie

\Have you read and/or reviewed any of these books, let me know, I would love to know your opinion before I mail this list to Santa (dad).
