Hello, bookworms
I’ve got a rather special post for you today, a list of all the books I’ve read in 2015. Think of this post as a 2015 reading review, where I will be discussing what I’ve read, my goals, and more.
2015 was the first year of my life where I’ve tracked what I’ve read, and actively tried to read as much as possible. I am pretty proud of my achievements, even though I didn’t reach my 100 book goal (I read sixty, what averages at about one book every six days). I put the title of every book I read in a word document, together with a mini review. My favorite books were Simon vs. and Ready Player One, but there were loads of other good ones as well.
As I went through the list on the 31st of December (because I am a sentimental like that). I noticed that whenever I reread a book, the review would change. For example: Eleanor & Park started off as a five star read, but ended as a 3,5.
I have only read four Dutch books this year, which is pretty bad (it’s certainly something I want to change this year, but that’s something for another post). I also haven’t read much fantasy, but I did read two of Malcolm Gladwell’s books, so I guess the good and the bad kind of weigh out. This list isn’t in a chronological order, since it is kind of hard to organize a word document. Because of this, I am going to track the books I am going to read in 2016 on Goodreads instead (My name is @Sophthebookworm, I post all my reviews there too!). Now, without further ado, here is the list!

Eleanor and Park is so good!!! ❤❤❤

It was one of the first YA romance books I’ve read, and it honestly blew my mind! I like all of Rainbow Rowell her books, but this one really is the best! (Together with Carry On, of course)

If you liked Eleanor and Park then you should definitely read “All the bright places” by Jennifer Niven. Trust me,it’ll make you forget about E & P!!

Thanks for the recommendation, I have heard loads of good things about that book, so I’ll definitely be checking it out! (Also I am in the need of a good romance right now)

Your 2015 lost is so much longer than mine. 😭 The best book I read last year was Lone Survivor. Books about war aren’t for everyone, but that book is beyond great.

I haven’t yet read a book about war, but I’d love to try it once, I am sure to put it on my 2016 TBR pile.

Wow, you’ve read so many books -and so many great books- last year!! 😀 I still need to get to The Knife of Never Letting Go. I hope I’ll love it as much as everyone else did!

Thanks! The Knife of Never Letting Go is awesome, believe me, it’s worth putting it on top of the ever growing TBR pile! 🙂 (and it’s one of my favorite books of all time, especially part 3)

I’m SO happy to hear that! I read More than this by Patrick Ness so far, and I loved it, so I’m eager to read another one of his books. I’m always nervous though when it’s a hyped book, I’m scared to be disappointed. I hope I won’t be! 🙂

I haven’t read More Than This yet, and I am planning to dig in next weekend, got any advice to save me from the possible yet likely emotional damage I will get from reading this book because PATRICK FREAKING NESS has written it? (oohf, that was quite a sentence 🙂 )

And I LOVED that sentence, haha! As for the advice…I got nothing, except, be prepared for a CRAZY ride!! 😀
